Kineo Technologies, LLC opened for business in late 2002 and is owned by Dave & Marilyn Goodwin of Beaver Cove, Maine. Our goal is to provide quality services for home owners and small businesses in Maine for all things computer. This includes data entry, word processing, computer repair, data backups, virus removal, networking, website development and hosting, and home automation and security.

Dave & Marilyn moved to Maine in December 2000 when they bought a sporting camp on Moosehead Lake called Beaver Cove Camps. It wasn't long before people in the Greenville area learned that Dave knew something about computers and would call for help. In late 2002, they decided to start up Kineo Technologies and offer their services to the community.

Dave has been working with computers since the early 1970's starting on an IBM 1620 at age 13. He continued through college to earn a degree in Applied Math, Engineering, and Physics with a concentration in computer engineering and optics. Dave has worked on every type of computer ranging from small single board computers, handheld PDAs, PCs, minicomputers, and large mainframe computers. Today, Dave continues to work for a high-tech company writing software for use in embedded industrial controls.

Marilyn's computer experience started out as a teacher thrown into a high school classroom in the mid '80s with the assumption she knew computer programming languages. Boy, did she fool them and the students as they learned together. From there, she taught computer application programs and other business courses for 11 years while completing her master's degree in Educational Technology. After taking some time off to raise a family with Dave, she recently has gone back to work at Eastern Maine Community College in Dover-Foxcroft teaching computer applications.
